Before picking a school you need to decide on the field or program you would like to apply for. Search for universities with programs that match your interests, needs and an area you would not mind living. Once you've found a few schools that work for you be sure to compare and contrast the pros and cons to each. This will insure you attend the school that is right for you. Another useful tip before finalizing your plans is to be sure the degree you are considering really qualifies you in the area you desire to work. For example I am looking into counseling. There are many types of programs offered (rehabilitation counseling, school counseling, marriage and family therapy, etc). What would you like to specifically like to be doing for work in the future?
Do you know if Brigham Young University has the program you are looking for? They have over 100 programs you can apply to included everything from accounting, nursing, psychology, and communications just to name a few. Connect up to their website and begin learning more about each of the programs offered at BYU Graduate School.
Ever consider Utah State University? Currently they are offering over 140 graduate degrees. USU is the #1 public university in the West (and top five in the nation) on Forbes' list of America's Best College Buys (2010). Another reason to consider attending USU is that it is #2 in the nation for aerospace engineering research funding, #3 for education research, and one of its labs is in Popular Science's list of top-30 college labs.
